What gets in, how it is graded, and what is left out

The rules behind every row, so a reader can judge the ledger without trusting the compiler.

What gets in

Only events with commercial substance: a signed sales contract, a tender award, a shipment, an installation, or a delivered cargo. Memorandum-of-understanding and framework agreements are excluded — they are commitments to negotiate, not exports.

How it is graded

The grade describes the strength of the evidence, not the size or importance of the project.

What is not inferred

Capacity is the rated hydrogen output converted at 1 MW ≈ 200 Nm³/h, never the nameplate electrical input. Where a capacity is not stated in the source, it is marked “Not disclosed” rather than estimated. Where a customer is not named by the exporter, the buyer or an official filing, the entry says “Not disclosed” — inferring a customer from project ownership would be fabrication.

The same rule applies to scope: only the equipment actually named in the source is written down. If a notice mentions stacks and gas-liquid separation but not rectifiers, rectifiers are not added.

Sources

Company announcements, stock-exchange filings, government procurement portals, customs and port notices, certification registries, and trade press. The source link for every entry is kept in the underlying dataset.

What this ledger deliberately does not do

It does not publish aggregate market forecasts or third-party market tallies. The counts shown on this site are taken directly from the rows in the tables.
